The interlink between Conflict and Hunger
“Where there is conflict, there is hunger where there is hunger, there is conflict. The latest global report on food crisis is a stark warning as food insecurity soars high. 155 million people in 55 countries relied on humanitarian assistances just to survive.”
According to the global network against food crisis(which includes World Food Program) an international alliance working to address the root causes of extreme hunger. Is war the root causes of extreme hunger. Is poverty the main cause of hunger in the world Is covid19 exposing the world’s fragile food supply chain? There is a need for urgent call to action to prevent famine. To promote peace, we must get to the root of conflict and understand others.
As a creative peacebuilder I aim to use my visual storytelling artworks to address the issue of acute food insecurity, addressing hunger is a foundation for stability and peace.
